Goulburn Valley Telco now has access to the Optus 4G Mobile Network.
The Optus 4G Mobile Network covers 98.5% of the Australian population and allows for very fast mobile data.
Goulburn Valley Telco will be migrating our customers who are currently on Optus 3G to Optus 4G in the near future. This change will only affect those customers who use a Goulburn Valley Telco Optus mobile or mobile broadband plan and who use a 4G enabled device. If you are on a Goulburn Valley Telco Super Mobile Plan, you will already be on Optus 4G.
This change does not alter your mobile service or settings in any way. You will remain on the same plan, and will now have the added capability of 4G coverage. Please note that your data usage may increase once you have access to the faster 4G network. We recommend that you use our SmartCentre application to track your usage. It is available at: www.gvtelco.com.au/smartcentre. Once you have a SmartCentre account, you’ll automatically receive alerts when you reach 50%, 85% and 100% of your included monthly allowance(s).

Q: Will my service change?
A: This change does not alter your mobile service or settings in any way. You will remain on the same plan, and will now have the added capability of 4G coverage.
Q: Do I have to do anything to activate 4G.
A: Some phones will have 4G turned off. The 4G network can usually be enabled in your phones settings menu.
Q: Is there any disadvantage to using the 4G network.
A: There is not disadvantage, the only difference is 4G is faster.
Q: Will my older phone be able to gain access to the 4G network.
A: Some phones don’t support 4G. Most new phones will be 4G capable, however older phones will not support the 4G network.
